The list-serve is for discussion of topics directly related to the OBC and as stated in Section I of the OBC Bylaws:
1. To promote interest in and the understanding of beer, beer appreciation and the craft of brewing among its members and the general public;
2. To provide the history and methods of brewing and the development of styles;
3. To advance skills in brewing techniques and formal beer evaluation;
4. To promote, encourage and sponsor opportunities to participate in local, regional and national brewing competitions; and
5. To provide opportunities for its members to share in the interest of craft brewing.

All other subject matter is considered off topic and must not be posted to this list serve. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who abuse this policy. Action may be simply a warning or up to permanent removal from the list-serve. Offenders can appeal any disciplinary decisions with the OBC Board.
